About Busimy
Busimy is an app to run your household money: yours and what you share, in any currency, with a clear balance of who owes whom. It was created by Dionel Azar, in Argentina.
Why it exists
Busimy started as a tool for its creator's own use. Dionel earns in dollars, saves part of it, converts another part into pesos for the month's expenses and shares a home with his partner. No app did the three things together: shared expenses, several currencies without mixing them, and a clear picture of what comes in and what goes out.
The first version is from 2019. In 2026 he rebuilt it from scratch with what he had learned: each currency with its own balance, splits by income, credit cards and installments, investments, and quick entry with AI.
Who's behind it
Busimy is built and maintained by Dionel Azar. He writes the guides on this site, based on how Busimy handles each situation and on the questions people who use it send in.
Its creator uses Busimy every day: every new feature is tried first on his own household's accounts.
How it protects your data
- Busimy doesn't sell, rent or trade your personal data.
- Everything travels encrypted (HTTPS), passwords are stored hashed and you can turn on two-step verification.
- What is personal stays yours: even in a shared household, nobody else sees your personal expenses.
- If you connect Mercado Pago, Busimy can only read your movements: it can't pay or transfer. The permissions are stored encrypted.
- You can delete your account at any time from your Profile, and your data with it.
What it costs
Every feature is free, with ads and some AI uses a month. The Plus plan, per household, adds unlimited AI and removes the ads.
